Elizabeth Schwartz wowed the audience in Detroit in March 2009 when The Workmen's Circle/Arbeter Ring co-sponsored the JCC Marwil Film Festival program of Yale Strom and Hot Pstromi. We had known and loved Elizabeth's work before, but we were blown away! She is one of the greats! Her range, vocally and performatively, is fantastic. The best and the least we can say is "wow"!

"Schwartz has a beautiful voice that's at once full and zesty, then light and lilting. If she sang the national anthem before the ball game, you'd feel great even if your team lost".
-San Diego Troubadour |
“A revelation, Schwartz boasts a deep, dark rich vocal instrument with enough versatility to pull off an Arabic taksim, a cantorial wedding blessing and a jazz waltz version of ‘Moscow Nights’. Schwartz channels her wide-ranging background
in musical theater, blues, rock and jazz into a vivid, contemporary
Yiddish idiom that needs no translation” .
